HCP Anywhere User Help

Disconnecting the mobile app

If you want to stop using HCP Anywhere on your mobile device, you can disconnect the app from the HCP Anywhere system by deregistering your device.

Deregistering your mobile device has these effects:

  • Your configuration settings, favorites, and locally stored files are all deleted from the device.
  • The device loses access to the HCP Anywhere system.
  • The device is removed from the My Devices window in the User Portal.
  • The device no longer counts towards your device quota.

Deregistering the mobile app does not delete or uninstall the app from the device. If you want to reconnect your app to HCP Anywhere, start the application again and configure it as you did the first time you used the app.

To deregister an Apple device, the app must be able to connect to the HCP Anywhere system.

For an Android device, you can deregister the device even when the app cannot connect to the HCP Anywhere system. When you do this, your configuration settings, favorite files, and cached files are deleted from the device, but the device remains in the My Devices window in the User Portal and continues to count against your device quota. In this case, you need to deregister the device from the User Portal as well. For information on using the User Portal to deregister a device, see temp_id__xqx_1.html.

Note

  • If one of your devices is lost or stolen and you can't access the User Portal to deregister it, ask your HCP Anywhere administrator to deregister the device for you.
  • If the application on one of your devices is inactive for too long, the HCP Anywhere system automatically deregisters the device. This limit is configured by your company.
