HCP Anywhere does not synchronize all files and folders. Some files and folders return an error message when they cannot be synchronized and some files and folders are simply ignored.
HCP Anywhere returns an error if you try to synchronize these files or folders:
- Files larger than the maximum file size limit for the system. Ask your HCP Anywhere administrator for this information.
- The file is in a folder that's reached or exceeded a system limit, such as the maximum number of files in a folder. For information on the HCP Anywhere system limits, see System enforced values.
- The file has an extension that is denylisted. Ask your HCP Anywhere administrator for this information.
- Files and folders with names longer than 255 characters.
- HCP Anywhere ignores these files or folders:
- Temporary files
- .DS_Store files
- thumbs.db files
- desktop.ini files
- On a Windows computer, files and folders that have these file attributes:
- OFFLINE
- REPARSE_POINT
- VIRTUAL
- On a Mac computer, files and folders that have these file attributes:
- Symbolic link files
- Pipe files
- Socket files
- On a Windows computer running version 3.0 or later of the desktop application, changes made to files and folders in a collaborative folder in which you have the Viewer role.
