HCP Anywhere User Help

Desktop application folder

In your HCP Anywhere folder, you can:

  • Perform normal files and folder operations
  • Perform special HCP Anywhere operations

These includes sharing links to files and folders, creating collaborative folders, and viewing file history.

  • Choose which files are saved locally to your computer and which remain remotely in HCP Anywhere

Local files and remote files function differently. For information on this, see Saving files locally or keeping them remote.

Your HCP Anywhere folder and your HCP Anywhere account are also connected. If you add a file into the HCP Anywhere folder on your computer, for example, that file appears in the HCP Anywhere website as well as on the other HCP Anywhere applications you have installed. And vice versa.

Important

The HCP Anywhere folder may contain a number of hidden folders with names that include .hcpaw. To ensure that the desktop application functions properly, do not rename, move, delete, or edit these folders or their contents.
