When you are invited to a shared or team folder, a red number appears on the Sharing Invitations button. The red number identifies the number of shared and team folder invitations you have.
You can accept or decline shared and team folder invitations as you see fit. When you accept a shared or team folder invitation, the folder appears in your HCP Anywhere account.
By default, HCP Anywhere sends you an email notification when a person invites you to a shared or team folder. However, you can turn off email notifications. For information on doing this, see Configuring email notifications.
Procedure
- In the top right-corner of the User Portal, click your username.
- In the menu, click Sharing messages.
The Sharing messages window appears. The Sharing messages window lists all the shared and team folder invitations you have received.
- (Optional) Select or deselect the Sync option for each invitation.
By default, synchronization is disabled.
Note
- For more information on synchronization, see Configuring synchronization for a collaborative folder.
- If you have been assigned the Viewer role, you cannot synchronize the folder with your HCP Anywhere desktop application. As a Viewer, you can only download files in the shared or team folder. The desktop application allows you to edit files in addition to downloading them.
- Do one of these:
- To accept an invitation, click Accept for the invitation.
- To decline an invitation, click Decline for the invitation.
- To accept all the invitations, click Accept All.
