Changing member roles

Each member of a shared or team folder has a member role. A person's member role determines the operations they can perform in the folder.

If you are the Owner of a shared folder or a Manager of a team folder, you can set a person's member role when inviting them to the folder or after they have already become a member.

Member roles

Note

Changing a group's member role does not affect the roles of any existing members of the folder. The role of an existing folder members can be changed individually. The role of a group determines the role assigned to new people added to the group. If a person is added to the group, that person receives an invitation to the folder with the group's role.

Procedure

  1. In the row of a collaborative folder, click the overflow icon ().
  2. In the menu, click Manage shared folder.
  3. In the Role dropdown, select a role for the member or group.
