Viewing items saved locally

The Items saved locally section of the desktop application dashboard lists the files and folders that are:

  • Saved locally to your computer.
  • Remotely in HCP Anywhere, but within a folder that is saved locally to your computer.

This is a perfect way to see which files are using space on your computer and which are not.

Procedure

  1. If the desktop application is not running, start the application.
  2. Right-click the application icon () in the taskbar.
  3. In the menu, click Dashboard.
  4. Click Items saved locally.
    The Items Saved Locally section of the desktop application dashboard appears. You can navigate between the items saved locally and items kept remote by clicking on the tabs at the top of the dashboard. The Items Kept Remote section only shows remote files and folders that are within folders that are saved locally to your computer.
  5. (Optional) Save a remote file or folder to your computer.
    1. Click the Items Kept Remote tab at the top of the dashboard.
    2. Select a file or folder.
    3. Click Remove.
  6. (Optional) Make a local file or folder into a remote one.
    1. Click the Items Saved Locally tab at the top of the dashboard.
    2. Select a file or folder.
    3. Click Remove.
